Real Happiness: The Power of Meditation: A 28-Day Program

Meditation, along with mindfulness, is one of the staples of the buddhist disciplines/philosophy. Do not mistake meditation with “empty mind.” Meditation is about realizing one is the observer of thoughts. We get frustrated while sitting only to come to grips with many thoughts rushing at us a mile a minute, faster than they were when we were out and about. The perceived speeding up of thoughts is due to inertia. Similar to a car moving  at 80mph only to come to a quick halt and have everything and everyone flying forward into the front seats of the car. Meditation is like that. We must let these thoughts do what they please. Our only task is to disassociate from these thoughts.
